We spent a lot of time waiting for connecting flights at JFK in NYC. We ate lots of pizza here. On our last trip Nathan took this picture as a pro Jets player running a
football--how fitting! |

This was our home away from home, thanks to our friends the Bivone family. |

We often visit the Loggerhead Marinelife Center near where we are staying. Nathan really likes the hatchlings and all the turtles. He knows a lot about them, ask next time you see him. Laurie
and I have grown attached to them, too. We learn more and more about these turtles each time we visit. |

This is Gilda. She has been at the center for about one year. This turtle was hurt bad by a boat propeller and the result was the loss of her right front flipper (and she was pretty banged up
elsewhere). The vets used metal bone plates so her bones would heal correctly (sound familiar?). We all thought it was touching that just like Nathan, she will have to go through physical therapy before they
release her. |

We are thoroughly entertained on the airplane. |

An extremely rare and expensive hand-made unit. |
